Consumers who install solar energy systems (including solar water heating and solar electric systems), small wind systems, geothermal heat pumps, and residential fuel cell and microturbine systems can receive a 30% tax credit for systems placed in service before December 31, 2016; the previous tax credit cap no longer applies."
How do I determine which size unit I need?
We sell "small" wind units, which are perfect for cabins, small homes and other environmentally cleen hybrid systems (solar combined with wind power systems). Personal energy use determines the size of unit necessary.
The one kilowatt has a 20 foot tower; the two kilowatt has a 30 foot tower; and the five and 10 kilowattts have 40 foot towers. The height of the turbines is a curcial element of the effectivity of the turbine.
